We’re switching our systems tomorrow

07 March 2023, 08:00 AM

What to expect during this time:

Our systems switch to the Amadeus Altéa Passenger Service System (PSS) will begin tomorrow, 8 March, at 6pm Abu Dhabi local time. We expect our services to begin coming online from 9 March.

Any action taken by you, our trade partners, during the change will not be immediately processed by Etihad and will instead be placed in queue for processing once we resume operations on the Amadeus Altéa PSS.

Here are some things to expect if your customers would like to travel during this time.

New booking and rebooking requests:

You will still be able to see limited flight availability, which means that bookings will be available ‘on request’. You'll be able to book and end the PNR but you cannot issue a ticket. This is applicable for all travel within the system range from 13 March onwards.

Waitlist on travel between 9 - 13 March:

During our systems switch, you can waitlist PNRs for any travel between 9-13 March. Once we're back online, you'll be able to check your queues and once you receive a confirmation, you can then ticket the PNR.

We expect that travel agents and our contact centre will be able to access our systems again between 6am and 9am Abu Dhabi local time on 9 March. If you're a Sabre agent, we expect Sabre access to be available from 11:15 am Abu Dhabi local time.

Once again, thank you for your patience. Our teams are ready to help minimise any disruptions that may occur during this time.
