Etihad Hub News

We’re moving to Doha International Airport, Qatar, from 15 September 2022

12 September 2022, 02:30 PM

We will temporarily be moving Etihad operations from Hamad International Airport (DOH) to Doha International Airport (DIA) - effective from 15 September 2022 until 30 December 2022.

The authorities of Qatar have requested this move as part of preparations for the FIFA World Cup 2022.

Guests who have onward connections at Hamad International Airport which were not booked on an Etihad flight are advised to contact their ticketed airline or travel agent for further assistance.

For Etihad flights to DIA up until 14 November 2022
Guests will need to hold a visa, or be eligible for a visa on arrival, in order to clear immigration and self-transfer with baggage to DOH for any onward flights. We recommend guests allow three hours to do this.

For Etihad flights to DIA on or after 15 November 2022
Guests need to hold a pre-arranged visa to enter Qatar in order to transfer between DIA and DOH. Please check back for the latest updates from the Qatari authorities at etihad.com/destinationguide.
