Eligibility

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Preclearance facility is now available for all Etihad Airways flights travelling from Abu Dhabi to the U.S

How to clear U.S. immigration 

To preclear U.S. customs and immigration in Abu Dhabi, guests must:

• Check in for their flight at Terminal A at least four hours before their flight.

• Make their way to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Preclearance facility two hours before their flight, or 90 minutes if they’re travelling in Business, First or The Residence.

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Preclearance facility closes an hour before the flight departure time.

U.S. Preclearance Lounge

Conveniently located just steps away from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Preclearance facility, the U.S. Preclearance Lounge at Zayed International Airport is a simple, calm, and cosy space. Grab a drink, choose from a selection of light bites, and unwind as you wait to board your flight to the U.S.

The U.S. Preclearance Lounge welcomes eligible guests travelling on an Etihad Airways flight in The Residence, First or Business, or are a Platinum or Emerald Etihad Guest member. You can also pay to access the Etihad U.S. Preclearance Lounge. This cannot be booked in advance and is subject to availability.
