Etihad poised to reintroduce its A380 fleet on London Heathrow route this summer

09 December 2022, 10:30 AM

Four of our super-jumbos set to operate between Abu Dhabi and London, with the first to be reintroduced from summer 2023.

The move follows a surge in demand for air travel across our network and customer feedback for the return of one of the most remarkable commercial flying experiences in the sky.

Our A380s feature The Residence as well as three cabin classes on the double-decker aircraft.

9 First apartments

70 Business studios

405 Economy Smart seats

Including 80 Economy Space seats

Guests flying in First and Business can enjoy The Lobby, our serviced lounge and bar area, located between the two cabins. Guests can order refreshments from the bar, watch TV, hold a meeting or just socialise.

The Residence is the world's only three-room suite in the sky. Featuring a dedicated bedroom, bathroom and living room, The Residence will be available for booking from March 2023. From 1 October 2023, all LHR services will offer First Class cabins catering for the more discerning guest.

Look out for more exciting announcements in the coming months:

The A380s’ return will be supported by the addition of five of their smaller A320 siblings, significantly expanding capacity and enabling increased frequencies on existing routes and the launch of new destinations. Watch this space for more.
